Drop in a thought, a PDF or a voice note. Sidebrain remembers it, connects it to everything it already knows about your life, and hands it back right when it matters.
The app itself is in French for now.
The problem
Your stuff lives everywhere: in your notes, your inbox, your calendar, forgotten PDFs, and mostly in your head. Note apps store without connecting. AI assistants answer, then forget. Sidebrain remembers, connects, and acts.
How it works
No folders, no tags, no forms. You talk, Sidebrain does the sorting.
- 1You drop it
Empty your head, as it comes.
A sentence typed between two subway stops, your lease as a PDF, a photo of a prescription, a thirty-second voice note. One field for everything.
- PDF, Word, PowerPoint, images and text
- Voice notes transcribed, recording kept
- Files you pick from Google Drive
- 2It connects
It understands who, where and when.
Every note joins your memory: people, places, dates, and how they relate. Newer information replaces the old, without erasing the history.
- Cards created and filled in on their own
- Duplicates spotted, merged with your OK
- Every fact points back to the note it came from
- 3It gives it back
It answers. And it reminds you.
Ask the way you’d ask a friend: it searches your memory and answers by quoting your note. And when a note hides an appointment, it offers the reminder.
- Sourced answers, in about a second
- Reminders, trips and routines suggested
- Nothing is scheduled without your “yes”
One sentence, one plan
Here’s what Sidebrain does with it, without you lifting a finger.
And everything else
Every feature follows one rule: free up room in your head, never take any.
The morning brief
At the time you pick: your calendar, your reminders, when to leave, and this week’s dates. Nothing is sent on an empty day.
A memory that keeps up with you
Julie moved? Say it once. The old address is closed, the new one takes over, the history stays.
Your calendar, in check
“Block two hours tomorrow to study”: it finds a free slot in Google Calendar, and only adds it once you agree.
Emails ready to go
It drafts in Gmail, finds the address in your memory, and sends nothing without your go-ahead. Your inbox? It never reads it.
Cards that fill themselves in
Every person, place or project gets a card: its facts, its links, the notes that mention it. You fix things in one click.
It learns your rhythm
Always five minutes late? After each departure it asks how it went, and adjusts your prep time.
Plug in your own tools
Connect an MCP server: its tools join Sidebrain. The ones that write always ask you first.
Your categories, your logic
Person, Place… then Doctor, Recipe or Houseplant: it creates the types you need, you rename or merge them.
No syntax, no commands. A sentence is enough.
- My landlord is Mr. Durand, rent on the 5th.
- Remind me to call mom tomorrow at 6 pm.
- Léa loves peonies.
- Block two hours tomorrow to study.
- What do you know about me?
- Noé wears a size 34 now.
- My flight to Lisbon leaves Friday at 6:40 am.
- What was that restaurant Julie recommended?
- At 3 pm I need to pick up my diploma at the high school.
- Email Mr. Durand that I’m leaving at the end of June.
- Julie moved to Bordeaux.
- When is Thomas’s birthday?
- Dr. Benali sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- What do I need to bring tomorrow?

|---|---|---|---|
| Keeps everything you give it | yes | partly | yes |

Do I have to organize my notes?
No. No folders, no tags. Write the way you think: Sidebrain spots the people, places and dates, and files them in your memory.
What if something changes?
Just say so: “Julie moved to Bordeaux.” The old fact is closed, the new one takes over, and the history stays on the card.
Can Sidebrain get things wrong?
Yes, like anyone. That’s why it quotes the note behind every answer, asks when it’s unsure, and lets you fix any card in one click.
Does it act on my behalf?
Only with your OK. A reminder spotted in a note, a calendar event, an email: it prepares, you confirm. Nothing goes out on its own.
Does it read my emails or my whole Drive?
No. Gmail is compose-only: it writes drafts and sends after you confirm, without ever reading your inbox. In Drive, it only sees the files you pick.
How do trip reminders work?
It plans the route from your latest location, if you shared it, or from home. It adds a 10% margin and your prep time, then recalculates an hour before with live traffic.
Where is my data?
In France, at OVHcloud: servers, database and files. To understand your notes and answer you, Sidebrain relies on AI models, with the requirement that they keep nothing: details are in the privacy policy. You can export or delete everything, whenever you want.
Is it available in English?
The interface is in French for now. Everything shown on this page is translated so you can see how it works.
